Federal carceral project "Sentinelle Bleue"

Sentinelle Bleue informs and sensibilizes professionals of federal detention centres, therapy centres and community residential facilities. Sentinelle Bleue informs prisoners about the risk of infection, helps them to get tested and shares their experiences in fighting prejudices.

Correctional committee
The purpose of this committee is to examine the role of community organizations that provide services and activities in federal correctional facilities located in Quebec as well as the actual services being offered to inmates regarding STIs ( STIs: AIDS, HCV and other sexually transmitted diseases) and possibly, to identify a possible areas for action.
The committee's meetings serve as a point of reference for maintaining partnerships between different stakeholders with expertise in STI prevention and drug addiction, and who work with inmates and those released from federal penitentiaries.
The correctional committee was created in 2005 and now includes 17 members. In 2006, the committee published a key report: « Overview of the health services provided to inmates by the federal correctional system and action taken by community organizations in Quebec. » Click here to view
